Prayer Bands
At CPC we introduced our congregation to Prayer Bands. These colorful, inexpensive, "craft looms" can be worn as bracelets or anklets and serve the same purpose as "prayer cloths" (Acts 19:11-12). We wanted to specifically introduce Prayer Bands to our students to remind them that our church has lifted them up in prayer for daily protection and guidance through the school year. However, just as Paul used "cloths and aprons" to deliver to the sick, these Prayer Bands can serve as a symbol of belief in prayer for any need! Physical, financial, emotional or spiritual. We all need to know others are standing with us!
We have a basket of Prayer Bands that we have anointed with oil, prayed over and have available to all! They are located on the communion table at the church. We encourage you to extend this idea in your own life. Family, work, jail ministry, nursing home ministry, and any other area when people need a reminder that they have been prayed for and someone is standing in agreement with them for a request. It is a wonderful idea for our loved ones serving in the military to receive these in the mail as a sign that our Creator is with them!
These Prayer Bands or "Craft Looms" can be purchased ($5) by the box at Wal Mart in the craft department where children's crafts are located. Don't underestimate your own power in prayer! Pray over your own Prayer Bands and pass them out! People are very receptive to this idea and being able to actually wear it is great! Our church family responded very well to this new ministry and we feel this is something we want to share with everyone. It is the best $5 investment you can make and will go much further than you realize! Get your Prayer Bands! Pass them out and pass the word!!

Yard Sign Ministry
We at CPC are believing together there are greater things are still to be done in the Tri-City area. This morning we started handing out our first batch of yard signs and through the power of believing, prayer, and fasting we know this area is going to change.
